We read the publication on diabetes mellitus (DM) type 2 and yoga with a great interest.[1] Bhat et al. noted that “A 7-day yoga camp on diabetes control and management produces changes which can be seen through EPI in a large number of parameters for both general and organ-specific.”[1] In fact, the usefulness of yoga for DM management is widely reported. After practice yoga, improved quality of life can be derived.[2] It is also proved that the yoga can help control of blood glucose.[3] We would like to share ideas and experiences of using yoga for the management of DM. In a recent study, the usefulness of yoga for blood glucose control among the Thai pregnant was observable.[4] In addition, in a survey, yoga was found to be a common alternative medicine practice among Thai patients with chronic disease including DM.[5] The cost of the practice is <10 USD per month [5] which is considered inexpensive for our developing country. As an alternative medicine technique, yoga seems to be easily applied into our community without conflict with local culture and belief.[5] At present, it is also recommended yoga for inclusion in community health-care service.[4]
